Zeroes and Ones explores the relationship between the construction of cloth and the composition of music. Punched rolls of paper were used to compose music for player pianos. Punched cards were used to create intricate patterns for the jacquard loom. Now this technology has evolved into the MIDI note for electronic music and the pixel for the digital jacquard loom.
